You have probably heard of the legendary 300 from Sparta but have you heard about the infamous 800 from Greece?

Who are they you ask?

They are actually about 800 to 850 retired politicians and government employees that became the most infamous group in Greece in just one day after they announced their demands of around 250,000 euros of back pay for each one of them, totaling about 200 million euros.

It’s bad enough when the people of Greece have their pensions and salaries reduced to help save the country but when people who served as government officials demand more money, it is outrageous especially when they helped to put the country into the disastrous financial position that it is in today.

They based their claim to receive this money in accordance with legal agreements as if no one else receiving retirement or a paycheck has any right to money that they have PAID into a retirement fund or worked for.

This is the notorious attitude of the approximately 3,000 government employees in Greece that have destroyed the image of the country and ruin the lives of the other approximately 8 million citizens today.

It is time that an independent organization be created to audit politicians and effectively put the guilty in jail.
