Should Europe Be Saved?

According to wikipedia, the European Union was created in the 1950’s, but it really started to move forward toward the late 70’s and 80’s.
The European Union was formed with the idea that it could do what the USA had accomplished during the colonial period but instead what has actually happened is that it has taken the transfer of power from monarchy to country politicians and created a new political level that has yet to prove its own worth.
If we look at Europe many of us think of Kings and Queens, Henry the 8th, the Napoleon dictatorship, and the wars that the European people fought for their leaders and for the hope of democracy.
What the European people receive today from all of the newly appointed EU politicians and bureaucrats is the development of a political pyramid that for over 30 years (being generous counting from 1980) has achieved nothing more than a single currency, a vat – sales tax, a common passport.
The EU of Brussels and Luxemburg will have you believe otherwise through a variety of documents such as, “A snapshot of EU achievements”, created to show what they are doing but just ask any commoner in Europe and they will tell you the real truth.
Even the fact that they allow the UK to have one foot in the EU and one foot out is evidence that the EU leadership is weak. On one of their websites, Britain says “We, Europeans owe a lot to the single market” and they do as Britain, France, and Germany have enjoyed prosperity from sales and marketing to their member states.
Unfortunately, the EU has done nothing about safeguarding the people in unifying the areas of the military, social security, banking, education, and the list goes on.
What the people of Europe have today is a Europe that takes third place after the US and China in development and imports outsourced products, services, and raw materials (from non-EU countries) creating an increasing unemployment for Europeans and allowing (because of their failure to foresee and act) a tsunami of illegal immigrants.
Certainly the EU has enrolled new member states, showing that it continues to grow, into the Eurogroup club but they have done so without any consideration as to the financial welfare of the countries and Europe today would not be in economic predicament if they did.
Nicolas Sarkozy and Angela Merkel are the sadomasochistic duo that has all of Europe hanging by the financial European thread leaving England dizzy in its own problems.
The fact is that the EU is a modern fiefdom and feudalism system that is heading for a revolution. As there are no other uncharted lands like North America, I guess that the next pilgrims will be heading for the moon.
