Living In Greece Makes Greek Genealogy More InterestingI didn't think so but have you ever thought about what he did or how he lived or even how you might have similar characteristics with him?

There was a TV show back in 1977 that spurred questions about family roots.  That show was a mini-series called "Roots: The Saga of an American Family" and was inspired from the novel written by Alex Haley.
Now a new TV show has emerged that started in the UK in 2004 and has become a hit in the USA since 2010.

The show "Who Do You Think You Are?" is now being broadcast in Greece, delayed as usual but broadcast via satellite.

While watching it I remember my own surprises as I did the genealogy research of my family and discovered incredible facts about the ancestry.

One of the biggest surprises was whether the family roots really originated where all of the family assumes that it does.

It would be interesting to see a Greek version of this show to see who will uncover their oldest family DNA as I have managed to find records in Greece, a difficult task with all of the wars and natural disasters that Greece has suffered.
