Overjoyed with the death of Osama Bin Laden
As an ex-New Yorker, I am ecstatic with the news that Osama Bin Laden has finally met his maker.
From the moment it became news, I have read numerous articles in the New York Times Online as well as comments by numerous people. I am disappointed however when I see Americans taking sides politically rather than objectively discussing the future of America and reducing the dependence Middle East.
There is no advantage to claiming that either the Republicans or the Democrats have been successful in the operations that lead to the demise of Bin Laden because that success is due to the CIA and the military that executed the plan.
Now is the time that President Obama should withdraw troops from the Middle East and also minimize any funding to those countries especially Pakistan.
It is time that America rebuilds and reinvests in itself.
Never forget 911!
