Glorifying false gods and Amy Winehouse
I have seen numerous singers over the years perish because of drugs whether prescribed or illegal and accidental.
Those that have perished include Aaliyah, Jim Croce, Otis Redding, and many others from accidents involving air crafts, while drug abuse has taken even more lives. Some of the most famous include Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Jopland, Judy Garland, Jim Morrison, and others.
Why all the noise about regarding Amy Winehouse? Many say that she was troubled but after searching the internet, I have yet to find the hardship that the diva is being idolized for except escaping reality through alcohol and drug abuse.
It appears that once again commercialization has their hand in creating idol worship to avoid loosing sales.
The fact is that there are many people in the world who are troubled and who do not use drugs because they fight everyday problems that include psychological and physical health, poverty and economic problems. Everyone does not have a talent and nor do they have the financial opportunity to help themselves out of their problem situations.
I give my respects to her parents and relatives but not to the malady of a suicidal accolade.
Give respect where respect is due, we should not idolize a person because we happen to like a song or because they happen to die young.
Those who traded their life for drugs
Sales figures for just one album that anyone would love to have income from.
