Social injustice like democracy can be born in any country in the world under the right circumstances.  It is completely evident that the political parties of Pasok and New Democracy along with the minority parties are guilty of gouging the people of their wealth and making laws that are enforced on the people but not on the politicians themselves.

Like the previous junta in Greece who incarcerated people whether innocent or guilty or simply killed them, the political parties who are responsible for the self-destruction of Greece’s economy consider themselves above the laws that they make.

The latest rounds in the news of Greece involve the truck owners that are being looted by the government.  While every political party is at fault according to the minister Pangalos, the Greek people pay the price.

The statement that minister Pangalos made was “that we are all guilty” meaning that politicians and the people of Greece are guilty because they all took part in the lifestyle that was initiated for them by all the governments.

The political junta now creates “express laws” for everyday citizens that will send them to jail for not paying sales taxes, or in the case of the truckers, for striking against the country that enacted the rules by which they will now be loosing money from their investment.

How would you feel if you bought a home 10 years ago for say 100,000 that is now worth 1,000,000 in value, only to have a government tell you that you must accept 50,000 for it today?  In Greece, the country preaches socialistic ideas but practices capitalism when applying them.

The lack of wisdom by the leaders of the country once again is proven through the inefficient use of information technology.  A plan was effectuated to reduce costs using a credit card type of identification for the production covering 10 million citizens.  The mistake was that its use only targeted the cost reduction for medicine.
Today a new plan is being implemented to create a new card that will now include identification numbers for the tax authorities.
Efficiency is doing things right; effectiveness is getting it done right the first time.

At the current prodigality of taxation, the people of Greece will be paupers before the country can save itself.
