Congress is starving

Reading an article in the Economist, I too was appalled with Tip O’Neill, the speaker, regarding his outrageous comment that the congressmen and women are not receiving enough food from Mr. Obama.
Isn't it time that America change the way the government operates. Maybe it's time to send congress home completely so that they can join the ranks of the unemployed and the homeless.
It might be a solution to bring the respect and dignity that Americans need from those who lead.
Could it be Mr. O'Neill that other past presidents who also wanted to make change might have been right. The crisis did not happen overnight.
It might have been hard to chew an auto industry collapse that shouldn't have happen in the first place but think about how hard it might be chewing on the rawhide souls of your shoes!
Fanatical Theocracies
In the year of our Lord, 2009 oops which Lord?
We have learned about the Crusaders and the Holocaust and yet we still have fanatical religions controlling people and inciting hatred and violence because their "God", with whatever name he be called, is that which they believe is the true God.
Think about it. If you believe in a "God" then how many are there?
Time has passed from the days that the church taught by fear rather than by intelligent socialogical means of people simply living in peace and yet we still see people following religious leaders blindly into acts of revolution, from one country to another to be with the "one" true religion.
We even have people joining "churches" as a method of business or social networking, then there are priests, presidents, and others that deny the Jewish Holocaust, and religions that want to sing or do without the interference of modern day progress.
If you are waiting for God or the Messia or Bouda or whoever you expect to come, do you really think that he or maybe she as some women might say is really going to come to a planet that prefers wars rather than progress or that prefers to have the extremely wealthy while others die from not having either the means to create food or simply something to eat?
Religion today is or has become an option for some people and in many cases continues to be replaced by money and wealth. It is for some a peace of mind to believe that yes there is a higher being or power out there that will be waiting beyond the boundaries of this life while for others, the beyond does not exist. Then again, for those who don't bother with religion or money, it maybe that they worship a different type of God.
Whatever your choice, make the decision for yourself rather than having another human being do it for you.
Artificial Intelligence in education

The educational system in the United States and in other nations around the world are under attack.
It is unbelievable that any country in the world would even consider paying students to learn what they MUST be learning to survive their entire life.
Today I listened to a radio sports announcement that said that it was appalled with the thought that in a soccer game between USA and Italy that the USA team was just a hair away from winning.
The point that I am trying to make here is that it is apparent that the rest of the world does not want to believe that the USA can make a come back and nor does it want to believe that the USA should be doing so in sports.
Don't people wonder why other people think this way? It is because the USA has changed course over the past few presidencies toward the wrong path. A path that is leading education to produce people have lower comprehension skills in reading and writing not to mention speaking.
If the world wants better politicians then the people must be able to comprehend what the politicians are actually saying and paying children to learn today will more than likely produce adults that are not willing to do what it takes to excel on their own tomorrow.
